Clinically trained, Melanie has an Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Pilates, plus Active IQ levels 2 and 3 in both Anatomy and Physiology. Her passion for Pilates arose from her training at the The Royal Academy of Dancing, where she became acutely aware of how posture, balance and core fitness is linked to performance levels in both dance and sport. Melanie has a desire to develop teaching technique and interest groups, mixing classical exercise with a contemporary twist.
A complete full-body workout that is based upon the method created by Joseph Pilates in 1926. Pilates has been proven to improve posture, strengthen the back and abdominal muscles, increase flexibility, prevent stress and back pain and tone muscles. A focus on lateral breathing techniques helps to cleanse the lungs and enhance postural control.
Melanie offers a range of Pilates based classes to challenge and motivate complete beginners through to keen sportsmen and women.
Lily was classically trained and graduated from at the Royal Ballet School before joining the Sarasota Ballet Company in Florida . Lily moved back to London to join the cast of Phantom of the opera where she performed a lead role in the ballet chorus for 4 years. Lily is a qualified barre instructor and loves the way barre keeps your body supple and strong and always adds an added element of fun to the class!
